15 Years Since The Kings of Comedy Tour Opened in Theaters

I was checking my twitter and came across a tweet that reminded me of today marking the 15 years since myself, D.L. Hughley, Ced The Entertainer and Bernie Mac saw our live "The Kings of Comedy"  tour directed by the great, Spike Lee, open up in theaters.

Before radio, television, books, movies and speaking engagements, there was my stand-up. The foundation of it all. It seems like yesterday that we were traveling the country and selling out crowds with Bernie bringing it all home to close. I wish Bernie was still here to see the influence that he has on the new generation of up and coming comedians.

“I’m a big fan of all those guys and I never turn down the opportunity to work with great talent.”

Today marks the 15th anniversary of the Kings Of Comedy Tour premiering in theaters with D.L. Hughley, Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey, and Cedric The Entertainer. To highlight the occasion we came across some exclusive footage of Bernie Mac behind the scenes during the tour. In the feature he goes on to discuss his brand of comedy, and the issues of comedians feeling forced to being politically correct. Some things remain.
