To my people and whomever else it may concern …

My father was a coal miner, and worked hard every day of his life.  He taught me the value of a good day’s work, how to be a man and to do what you say you’re going to do.  My mother was a Sunday School teacher.  She instilled in me the importance of having a relationship with God, and showing gratitude.  She always told me, “You are blessed to be a blessing.”  That your success means nothing, if you don’t show anyone else how to achieve it.

You've Got to Jump

Every successful person must do this.

Steve meets a lot of people with big professional aspirations, who don’t pursue their dreams because of a fear of failure. Steve launched a new segment called “Should I Jump,” with MELISSA, who has always dreamed of opening her own hair salon, but is afraid to leave her stable corporate gig as a financial aid advisor. Her fantasies of starting her own business have only gotten stronger since seeing a viral video of Steve talking about jumping to pursue your dreams.

Every year Lavell Crawford steals the show and this year is no different. Watch him crack everyone up and be sure to take a behind-the-scenes look at the award show like no other with Steve Harvey.

Morning Inspiration

Most athletes will tell you that they go out there with the full intent and purpose of winning and winning only. See they don't put the second place finisher on the cover of Sports Illustrated. At the end of day don't you want to be on the Sports Illustrated cover of life...don't you wan't to be recognized for your hard work?

Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Success

"Essentialism isn't about getting more things done in less's about getting only the right things done."

The director from Little Big Shots sat me down with his British accent and said, "Mr. Harvey I'd like to tell you something…and you can tell me to f*ck off and I will...but you’re absolutely the busiest person I've ever met in my life and I’m concerned about you. I want you to read a book called Essentialism.

You know what? This book along with my anniversary trip helped changed the whole way I think. The basics of essentialism is this:

Everybody must do the things that are essential to your life to make you happy or successful. You must eliminate everything that doesn’t make you happy or doesn’t lead to your success.

From books, to internet videos, to audio clips, if it's inspiring me or I support it, you'll find it here. I hope it inspires you too.

Act Like A Success, Think Like A Success

In his phenomenal #1 New York Times bestseller Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, Steve Harvey told women what it takes to succeed in love. Now, he tells everyone how to succeed in life, giving you the keys to fulfill your purpose.

Countless books on success tell you what you need to get that you don’t already possess. In Act Like a Success, Think Like a Success, Steve Harvey tells you how to achieve your dreams using the gift you already have. Every one of us was born with a gift endowed by our creator—something you do the best at with very little effort. While it can be like someone else’s, your gift is yours alone. No one can take it away. You are the only one who can use it—or waste it.

A lot of people say "Steve, you know you shouldn't be smoking cigars! Don't you know what smoking does to your body?!" but before you tell me why I shouldn't smoke em, let me tell you why I do.

During my charity ride, I talked to my audience that was live streaming with me. A question was asked - "How do you continue to persevere through the obstacles?"
