It’s summer-time, the heat is up and so is my perspiration. With that being said it is essential that I consume around 2300/ 2600 mg amounts to one teaspoon, or 6 grams of salt per day.

Fun fact: A healthy ocean is maintained by the same naturally alkaline mineral-salt, as a healthy human body. Importantly; Sodium chloride, magnesium, Potassium and calcium.
So don’t you think that consuming natural sources of salt will provide your body with the proper balance of these minerals to keep you healthy? Why yes! Yes it will!

My personal preferences are as follows;
•Celtic sea salt
•Himalayan salt and
•Real salt from Redmond Utah.

I use these salts and I’m sure to always look for an equal combination of all the four most important minerals for the body, found in such salts; sodium, potassium bicarbonate, magnesium and calcium carbonate.
These minerals together contain a powerful alkalinity compound that may help to ensure adequate levels of electrolytes within the body.

Don’t forget to drink plenty of water, even more so during the hotter months!
